Welcome to the Philly Gear Library!!

Steps to reserve gear:

1. Complete a Camping and/or Backpacking Gear Orientation with Philly Gear Library staff or one of our partner organizations.
2. You can view our whole inventory by clicking the inventory button above. When you’re ready to make a reservation, click “Create Account.”
3. Search our inventory and add available gear to your cart.
4. Select your pick-up appointment time and submit your request. Philly Gear Library staff will follow-up to confirm your reservation and appointment time.
5. Pick-up your gear at our location during your scheduled appointment. We'll schedule a return time during pick-up. Loan duration is maximum of 7 days unless a longer loan is pre-approved by Philly Gear Library staff.
6. Have a great trip! We love to see pictures of our gear in action and appreciate any photos you can share. Please send them to Phillygearlibrary@gmail.com
7. Return the gear during your scheduled return appointment.
8. Enjoy the outdoors without worrying about gear management!

You are responsible for gear that is lost or damaged due to negligent use. Our Gear Library staff inspects each piece of gear when it is returned and will write an invoice for the cost of any necessary replacement or repair. Gear replacement prices are shown for each item in our inventory.
